What is the SES Support Grant? 

The Queensland Government’s SES Support Grant program provides resource-focused funding to assist local governments in delivering high-quality emergency and disaster management services. Local governments play a crucial role in supporting the ongoing viability of SES operations. Their contributions ensure SES members are adequately resourced and equipped to effectively respond to emergencies and disasters within their communities. 

Key information for the 2027-28 funding round

• Local governments are eligible to apply for grants to support SES groups or units within their areas.
• Funding is available for:
  • up to $150,000 for facility projects
  • up to $75,000 for vehicle projects.
• Grant payments are made following finalisation of the project and are not provided upfront.

Applications close at 11.59pm, Wednesday 25 November 2026.
