Run Army is more than just a running or walking event; it is a celebration of resilience, health and community spirit. It honours our front-line emergency responder community, including the Queensland State Emergency Service, Australian Army, Queensland Police Service, Queensland Fire Department, Queensland Ambulance Service, and Surf Life Saving Queensland.
Since it originated in 2021, Run Army has raised almost $1 million. The SES Gift Fund is one of the important beneficiaries' funds raised go towards.

Proud partner of Run Army
The Queensland SES is proud to partner with Run Army. In 2026, our Orange Army will be out in full force, championing active lifestyles, community wellbeing, and fundraising for important causes. This year’s theme, ‘Working Dogs’ highlights the incredible role working dogs play in supporting emergency responders and communities. Our very own Paw Suppawt dog, Macca, is paws-itively excited for Run Army 2026. Macca and his handler visit SES Groups and State Headquarters, Emergency Operations Centres, the State Disaster Coordination Centre, PCYC Emergency Services Cadets, and other special events to help enhance and promote the mental health and wellbeing of SES members and emergency services personnel.

Support your SES
The SES Gift Fund is a valuable initiative that supports Queensland’s State Emergency Service members. Our volunteers show up for Queensland communities when disaster strikes, whether it’s a storm, cyclone, flood or other emergency.
By donating to the SES Gift Fund, you can help:
provide equipment and resources for SES volunteers
fund advanced training to ensure volunteers are prepared for any emergency
enhance community safety and resilience during disasters
support the welfare and recognition of our volunteers.
Every contribution helps us protect and serve Queenslanders when they need it most.
By joining Run Army and donating to the SES Gift Fund, you’re helping us continue our mission to protect and serve Queensland communities. Together, we can make a difference.
